This Privacy notice explains how the Metin3 website (this site) and the Metin3 HUB launcher, which talks to this site, handle information. Metin3 is a story-driven single-player PC RPG with local saves and optional co-op. It is not a traditional persistent online private server.

Your account

A Metin3 account is needed to buy and play the game through Metin3 HUB, to use the forum and to chat with friends. For an account we store your nickname, your email address (or your Discord ID and Discord username if you sign in with Discord), a hashed password, an optional avatar and profile text, and security data such as two-factor settings and recovery codes. We also record whether you own the game and its DLC, your trial start time, your SPC balance and your last HUB sign-in.

Game data on your PC

Characters and campaign progress live in encrypted save files inside the game folder on your computer. Screenshots you take in the game stay in the game folder.

Cloud saves

When you are signed in to Metin3 HUB, your saves are re-encrypted with a key that belongs to your account and uploaded to this site, so they can follow you to another PC. We store the encrypted save, its slot name, size, hash and time of upload. You can remove a save from the cloud in Metin3 HUB.

Achievements, friends and community

  • Achievements unlocked in the game are synced to your account so they appear on your HUB profile.
  • Friends and chat — friend requests, blocks and chat messages (including images you send) are stored so they can be delivered.
  • Forum — topics, posts, likes and read markers are stored and shown to other players as you would expect.

Purchases

Game, DLC and SPC purchases are paid through a Shopify checkout. Payment card details are entered with Shopify, not on this site. We keep a record of each order (product, amount, status and time) so we can deliver what you bought.

Technical logs

When you open pages or Metin3 HUB talks to this site, the web server may record technical details such as IP address, user agent, requested URL and time. Sign-in attempts are rate-limited by IP. These records are used for security, abuse prevention and diagnostics. Administrators' actions are kept in an audit log.

Cookies

Essential cookies keep you signed in and protect forms against forgery. Metin3 HUB keeps a sign-in token on your PC. No advertising trackers are used. If analytics are added later, this notice will be updated before they are enabled.

Separate services

  • Discord — the community server and Discord sign-in are run under Discord’s own terms and privacy policy.
  • Shopify — checkout and payment processing follow Shopify’s privacy policy.
  • Co-op — co-op sessions connect players directly on the same network or through a relay. Session traffic is not stored on this site.

Children

The game and website are not directed at children under the age where local law requires parental consent for online services. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us through the community links on this site so it can be removed.

Retention and your choices

Account data is kept while your account exists. Logs are kept only as long as they are needed for operations and security. You can edit your profile, remove cloud saves and ask for your account to be deleted through the official Discord link shown in the site header or footer.

This notice may change as the project, hosting setup or applicable law changes. The current version is the one published on this page.
